Question about teachers and “sexting”?

My son’s English teacher decided to assign a class work assignment to three groups of students. each group had to translate a specific poem into a modern-day text message. One poem was about a boy trying to persuade a girl to have sex with him while she still can while she will enjoy it. The group translated the poem and had to send it to another group through a text message on their own cellphone. Cellphones are not allowed in school and I heard this sexting thing is a big deal. I have notified the principal and set up a meeting. what can happen to this teacher who was basically promoting sexting?
